5 PIECES TO TAKE FROM WINTER TO SPRING

Transitional wardrobes at their very best

I'm all about taking things from season-to-season, and recently I started thinking about the pieces I wore lots during Winter that I can see transferring seamlessly into my Spring wardrobe. Excited to take all of the below through to some new Spring styling!

SNEAKERS

First up, sneakers. The past few seasons I've been rocking sneakers more than I ever have before, even splurging on two pairs of Golden Goose sneakers which I practically live in! Other notable favourites getting a total workout this Spring are my platform leather Supergas and my alice + olivia sparkly babies. There's just something about the pairing of a Spring dress with a pair of sneakers that speaks to me on another level!

MIDI SKIRTS

I've recently injected a few midi skirts into my wardrobe (namely this ASOS starry number, something silky for dressing up, and a Nasty Gal leopard print baby which is en route into my wardrobe as we speak) and it's safe to say I am obsessed! I don't know why it took me so long to get into a midi skirt?! Paired with sneakers, mules or a heeled boot, and a cute basic tshirt - I will definitely be bringing these pieces with me into summer!

LONG SLEEVE DRESSES

One of my longest loves, the long sleeve dress, never lets me down as being my number 1 transeasonal piece! Long sleeve dresses get me through basically 3 of the 4 seasons (probably not suitable for a 40C Perth summer day, hehe ), so will be high on rotation heading into Spring. Some of my favourite long sleeve dresses this season have been from this spotty number from Keepsake, blazer dress from REVOLVE, and anything from Magali Pascal (but particularly this dreamy galaxy number!)

BLAZERS

Anyone else blazer obsessed!? Sometimes I blame my blazer collection on the fact I work in an office 5 days a week, but then I also think I just love them so much, especially when I wear them all weekend too (hehe ). While Zara have been absolutely killing the checkered blazer game of late (and are responsible for my 3 favourite blazers), I've also got my sights set on a few more, including this insane houndstooth blazer from Anine Bing (also killing the blazer game, mind you!), and this black long line baby from Veronica Beard.

SWEATERS

One of the reasons I love Spring the most is because of the sweater-skirt combo that becomes an acceptable thing to wear. And by acceptable I mean people look at me weirdly when I wear this combo during Winter, which I do often, haha. Sweaters and skirts are my absolute favourite, and the perfect way to transition into the warmer weather - bare legs whilst keeping warm on top! One of my favourite sweater brands this Winter has been St Cloud Label (seriously the warmest sweaters EVER!). I've also recently fallen in love with Bella Freud sweaters (dangerous!), which I think will be the perfect staple moving into some warmer weather.
