From shoes to smoothies to exercise (?!)
BIG FLUFFY COATS
I hate winter, but my gosh do I have total #FOMO from all the big fluffy coats our Northern Hemisphere counterparts are wearing right now! You all know I’m allergic to colour, but there’s something about a big bright yellow big bird flufball that might be calling my name! I have the coolest feather jacket I acquired at the end of last Winter (similar to this one!) and I’m just itching to wear it, and looking forward to adding a lot of big fluffy faux fur goodness to my closest in the coming months. This one may have just made it's way into my shopping cart ...
BOOTS + SNEAKERS
Shock horror, I’m still loving boots. Even in summer! I recently added these insanely sick croc gold buckle babies to my closet and also these silver buckled ones, and I’m also really wanting these Toga Pulla babies I've been lusting after for a few years now. I think I have a problem? I’m also really getting into sneakers as well, and I’ve been eyeing off two pairs of Golden Goose sneakers recently. Just trying to convince myself that no matter how much I love them, can I justify the price?!
PLANNING A WEDDING
This is also the most stressful thing I’m doing right now, but it’s also the most exciting so it makes the list. Rohan and I got engaged in December and have had the craziest and most flat out holiday season and start to the year ever. This has meant we’ve done very limited planning for said wedding, but the bits and pieces we are dipping our toes into so far are very exciting. We have a look at a venue we love in the coming weeks, so stay tuned ;)
CAPSICUM, CUCUMBER + HUMMUS
Weird, I know, but my newest addiction is sticks of red capsicum and cucumber dipped into hummus! I’m attempting to eat healthy and eat lunch out less, so this makes a great lunchtime snack for my as I work through lunch at my desk. Sometimes I even experiment with different hummus flavours. #RiskTaker. Mmmmmmm.
As I type this, I have 5 gold rings stacked on my right hand, alongside a gold watch, gold bracelet, and 3 gold necklaces layered on my neck. It’s all dainty, so doesn’t look as ridiculous as it sounds (I promise!) – but I’m definitely having a fully fledged love affair with dainty gold jewellery! I recently put in a Mejuri order for some more (oops!), and if you haven’t checked them out yet I couldn’t recommend their pieces more. I'm also eyeing this gorgeous pair of Shashi hoops, and these gold coin earrings. Because a girl can never have too many pairs of statement earrings, right?!
I’m the worst when it comes to committing to an exercise regime, actually to exercise in general (ew – cardio!), but I recently got coerced (literally) to attend Pilates and I am now officially obsessed! While I’ve had a few weeks off due to #life, I’m so excited to get back into 2 per week classes. For anyone in Perth – my pilates classes are with MVMT Society and I'm absolutely loving it!
BANANA, STRAWBERRY + PEANUT BUTTER SMOOTHIES
I’ve found that healthy smoothies are the best way for me to pump nutrients into my body in a quick and easy way. My current favourite is a combination of 1 banana, 4 strawberries, a tablespoon of organic peanut butter and a cup of almond milk. I’ve also been sprinkling The Beauty Chef’s Cleanse Inner Beauty Power into the mix which I’ve been loving, too, and really noticing a difference to how I feel overall!
I’m in a deep, deep hole of podcast listening and I’m loving it sick! I used to be a true crime addict, and now I’m moved to the “girl boss” type podcast – listening to the stories of successful women and how they have got to where they are today. It’s the best way to get through a day in the office and feel motivated while working! My current favourites are GirlBoss Radio, Death Sex and Money, The Lively Show, the sKimm, Conspiracy Theories, Dirty John, Beautiful / Anonymous.
