STAPLE STYLE CHALLENGE
Anyone who has the slightest familiarity with my style aesthetic would know that I love simplicity and that my wardrobe is full of basic pieces. I can't get enough of basic, minimalist items that I can play around with and give a different look to, and of course, carry through to different seasons.
Thanks to the babes over at Staple the Label, The Minimalist, Naked Vice and QT Gold Coast, I've had the opportunity to style this little black number for the #staplestylechallenge. Unsurprisingly, I have a few little black dresses in my wardrobe but this guy has a few things that grabbed my attention. The fabric is some of the softest I've felt (which I've discovered is a standard occurrence for Staple the Label pieces), the ribbed design adds that something extra and the biggest drawing card for me? Those side splits! Every girl loves a good side split in a fuller length dress and these bad boys exceed the norm - sky high, just the way I like it!
I'm all about the edginess of an outfit, and making it something you can easily take from day to night so I've teamed the dress with a pair of black heeled boots and a leather biker jacket. The edginess and sexiness of this outfit screams "don't mess with me", a perfect reflection of my attitude ... oops ... hehe.
