MY GO-TO RELAXATION ROUTINE

My favourite music, a good book and the L'Occitane Almond Body Treatment - all I need!

The last few months have made me realise just how much stress can take a hold of my body, so I decided that I needed to schedule in some consistent relaxation time to ensure I was looking after myself. A little indulgence here and there to take some time and enjoy some of my favourite things - something I think we should all be doing to ensure we are looking after ourselves the best we can! When was the last time you well and truly took some time out?!

While everyone has different ways to "switch off" and get into relaxation mode, what works for me is a long session in the bath with an amazing L'Occitane Almond Spa Treatment, no phone, a good book and some killer tunes - something that I've added to my weekly schedule.

And yes, it is bliss!

FIRST THINGS FIRST, PUT THAT PHONE AWAY!

Yes this is the hardest thing to do, but I promise it's also the best! I had to pry my phone out of my hand the first time I indulged in one of my relaxation sessions, but after a few, it gets easier. Between texts, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, photo editing - that thing is connected to my hand! Leaving my phone in a different room is the best first step to turning on relaxation mode, trust me.
 

SNACKS ON SNACKS

Because long sessions in the bath are nothing without snacks! My poison of choice? Donuts, obviously (and a big glass of red wine!)
 

A GOOD BOOK AND SOME BEATS

I'm so guilty of not reading as much as I should be, so this is the best time for me to get deep into a book! My current reads are 'Chapter One' by Daniel Flynn and I'm back reading 'Daring and Disruptive' by Lisa Messenger for a little bit of extra inspiration! And, as I'm a huge music lover, I can't enjoy a quality bath-sesh without my favourite Spotify playlists!
 

AN AT-HOME SPA TREATMENT (THE MOST IMPORTANT PART!)

After a few recent visits to the L'Occitane Petit Spa (which you can read about in this post here - life changing!), I realised that for me to fully switch off, I need a little bit of indulgence with a spa treatment (hehe) where I forget about everything else.

While I can't be at the L'Occitane Petit Spa every week (as much as I wish I could), I've been recreating the L'Occitane Almond Body Spa Treatment at home with two of their amazing products - the Almond Shower Oil and the Almond Milk Concentratetwo products that have not only become consistent in my spa routine, but my everyday routine too. The Almond Shower Oil is an international best seller, and I can see why!

The L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil first became an essential part of my relaxation routine because of how incredible it smelt - I seriously wish you could smell through a blog post, I don' think I've smelt a shower gel this good ever! After consistent use over the past month (in both my relaxation routine and also my everyday shower routine), not only was I further in love with the scent, but I was also falling in love with how it was leaving my body feeling - rejuvenated and firm, gearing up for Summer! Clearly, perfect for relaxation! The Almond Milk Concentrate is a morning and night moisturiser for me, as the milk and oil combination is perfect for my dryer skin and moisture that lasts all day. Obviously perfect for capturing that end result to what is an incredible relax-sesh!

Oh, and all the almonds used in these products are sourced from the South of France - need a say anymore?!

I've also incorporated my Lavender Pillow Mist which is a big part of my evening routine, for that little bit of extra relaxation too!

NOW, RELAX

Literally all the ingredients are here to truly tune out - so now it's time to switch that brain off, forget about deadlines and immerse into some relaxation bliss!
 

... AND REPEAT!

This exact routine has been a part of my life for the last month or so now and it's made me feel better than ever! I feel a lot less stressed and my body is feeling amazing from the L'Occitane Almond Body Treatment - my skin firmer and more nourished for summer, not to mention smelling incredible from the Almond scent!
